Create a new chord sheet
There is a simple form to start a new chord sheet.
At first you just have to enter the song title and the artist.
Once you created the new chord sheet you can start editing the chords in the simple edit form.
Simple edit form
In the simple edit form you just have a single field to enter the chords.

- Enter the chords, section labels and special chars.
Below the form are several submit buttons. Any of these will save the changes you made.
You can toggle to the advanced edit form. There will be the full form with all the available fields.
Advanced edit form
In the advanced edit form you have access to all the fields.
- Chords
- Enter the chords, section labels and special chars.
- Title
- Enter the title of the song.
- Artist
- Enter the artist or composer(s) of the song. Or use a generic label like traditional or various.
- Annotation
- A short annotation that will be printed in parentheses after the title. E.g. (capo 3rd fret)
- Transpose
- Default transpose for this song. You can transpose any song on the fly in the PDF preview.
- Progress
- A label to describe the progress of your work. You can filter your songs by these labes. Eg. draft or complete.
- Key
- Only required if you want to convert the song to nashville number system. And as a meta data to describe the song of course.
- BPM
- An optional value for beats per minute (BPM).
- Time Signature
- A drop down to set an optional time signature.
Below the form are several submit buttons. Any of these will save the changes you made.
You can switch back to the simple edit form.
