Fit a song on a single page
Well, I myself always try to fit a song on a single page. But sometimes it is just not possible.
See some examples for two page songs …
Still Got The Blues (Gary Moore)
Space Oddity (David Bowie)
Some ideas for fitting songs on a single page …
… adjust the vertical line spacing
to get a good compromise between maximizing the number of lines per page and readability
dynamic row height / vertical spacing
… use horizontal orientation
Petite Fleur (Sidney Bechet)
… use da capo/dal segno
Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd)
… use first and second endings
Rock'n Roll Suicide (David Bowie)
… use text annotations
It's All Over Now Baby Blue (Baby Blue)
(e.g. "4th verse = harp solo, without bars 5 and 10")
… just write chorus, verse and the like the second time they appear
Wild World (Cat Stevens)
Against All Odds (Phil Collins)
The River (Bruce Springsteen)
(3 pages version and a one page version)
